Description

The project is a part of the Lusail expressway development which includes roads, related infrastructure and surrounding buildings. A part of this development is the Artscape which is comprised of a Vistor Centre and a Base Station. The 146 m long Visitor Centre is suspended 40 m above the expressway by a double arch. It is connected by a cable car system to a Base Station which includes a VIP waiting room, cafes and the ticketing office.

Design Scope of Work

  • Create parametric model of facade system
  • Rapidly develop alternatives for the patterning of the decorative cladding
  • Extraction of design drawings and associated geometric data from the simulation BIM
  • Utilised BIM for the creation of visualisations for aesthetic assessments
