Description

Travellers on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge will be received in the Passenger Clearance Building for their immigration and customs processing. The project is a part of the Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities for the HKSAR Government Highways Department. The Passenger Clearance Building is 30 m in height and features a curved-profile steel roof.

Design Scope of Work

  • Engineering review for the steel structure for the front-of-house facade system
  • Develop logistic and installation methodologies for the front-of-house facade system which includes structural steel elements that are 3 m wide and 21 m in length
  • Optimise fabrication and assembly strategy for the facade steel structure
  • Quality control and supervision for the fabrication process

  • Assist the client to resolve tolerance issues with the primary steel structure
  • Reduce the logistic and installation costs by simulation with BIM model
  • Assist the fabricator to achieve the stringent quality standards demanded by the HK Highways Department
